I recently bought Sex Signs by Judith Bennet. Though the book is written to address women, I find many of the insights apply to both sexes.
One passage in the Gemini section painfully caught my eye:
"After she ends a relationship, she often idealizes the man she has left. She will build elaborate fantasies around him and obviously expect her next man to live up to them"
(sigh)
So, what does one do?
My next man has some mighty big shoes to fill.

Re: Idealizing the Other
Wed, June 14, 2006 - 9:22 AMI have owned this same book for years and I agree with you that it can be used to interpret men as well. I learned a lot about myself and why I do some of the things I do in love, from this book. However, unfortunately it only goes by sun sign and therefore doesn't get to all of it. However, I have used it to look at how exes of mine were behaving and it does fit for the most part.

Re: Idealizing the Other
Sat, July 1, 2006 - 7:31 PMthis is absolutely true (for me).
I had no idea this was a gemini moon thing. anyway, I have no idea how to "fix" this part of myself. It's not like you can just tell yourself NOT to do it. . . .ho hum.
